As Vikinor continues to grow and expand its global footprint, we are looking for a technically strong Account Manager to join the team in Romeoville, IL. With a background in consultative solutions sales, you will work closely with your Marketing, Product Management, and Engineering teams to create solutions that meet the customer’s needs.
The ideal candidate will have experience selling technical products and solutions to the critical infrastructure industry, be self-driven, and have the ability to engage with new customers during the initial sales process and when actively developing engagements and cooperation with existing customers.
As Account Manager at Vikinor, you will play a key role in the development of the company’s existing and new customers. You will be responsible for assigned key customers and taking the lead for the sales process in close coordination with Product Management and stakeholders. The Account Manager should have experience with technical sales and will be responsible for customer mapping, sales, and reporting throughout the US. At the same time, you will maintain close ties to and collaborate with your internal Vikinor colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
As Account Manager at Vikinor, your main responsibility is to lead the continued development of the company’s customer base and grow your designated accounts. Your responsibilities include:
- Prepare and implement customer plans and sales budgets in collaboration with product management and sales management.
- Order planning and forecasting, ensure sales budgets are met by establishing strong, long-lasting relationships with customers and thereby increasing annual sales with designated customers.
- Prepare and present quotes and proposals to customers together with the marketing and product management teams.
- Lead customer negotiations of framework agreements in coordination with key stakeholders.
- Handle various sales administration tasks in coordination with the sales team such as pricing, purchase order handling, and reporting activities.
- Define KPIs for the monitoring of each customer through the different stages of the customer relationship.
- Build and manage customer funnel and project pipeline for each of the main product series in cooperation with product management.
- Maintain customer database of customer information, leads, quotation, etc.
- Any other assigned tasks related to account management.
Requirements
- B.Sc. degree or above with a major in International Business, Economics, Business Engineering, or similar.
- 5+ years of sales and account management experience selling electro-mechanical products to large multi-national customers.
- Experience from the telecom/critical infrastructure/energy /industrial HVAC or Network Power industry is preferred.
- Relationship builder, proactive, and enterprising.
- Confident and thrives in a company culture based on honesty, openness, and team collaboration.
- Self-driven and hands-on with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Strong work experience in MS Office and relevant IT tools.
- Fluent in English.

Compensation: Competitive compensation package based on experience
Travel activity: Approx. 30-50 days primarily within the US, and with some international travel
