The Dantherm Group, originally founded in Denmark in 1958, engineers, manufactures and sells products and solutions designed to heat, cool, dry, ventilate and purify air.
With brands such as Dantherm, Trotec and Master, the Dantherm Group is a European leader in portable and installed climate control solutions for a wide range of industries, such as agriculture, industrial factories, construction and military and humanitarian aid organizations.
It is essential to this position to build a successful market presence from the ground up, leveraging existing major US clients and identifying new opportunities to expand the North American footprint further. The ideal candidate will be self-driven with an entrepreneurial spirit and have proven sales and business development experience from the humanitarian & defense industry. The role reports directly to the Business Unit Director, Humanitarian & Defense.
Key Responsibilities
As Sales Director, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of the go-to-market strategy in the United States. You will be responsible for acquiring new clients and distributors while growing existing customers and distributors in the US region.
Your main tasks include:
- Strategize and Lead: Meticulously map the market to plan and lead the execution of efficient and effective strategies for Dantherm's success in the US
- Achieve Sales Objectives: Analyze, plan, and review sales objectives to meet ambitious sales goals through a comprehensive plan
- Build and Expand Relationships: Establish, develop and grow relationships with customers and distributors throughout the US
- Provide Solutions: Understand customer needs and translate them into comprehensive solutions
- Promote Dantherm: Serve as a knowledgeable professional, selling the added value and possibilities of Dantherm and managing customized projects in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Navigate the Organization: Communicate well on all organization levels and be adept at navigating global organizational dynamics in a rapidly evolving market
What You Bring
- 5-10 years of relevant work with a proven track record in the Humanitarian & Defense industry or similar
- A bachelor’s degree in a commercial or technical field
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build a strong, relevant network
- Influential and steadfast with high integrity
- Familiar with direct sales, rental market and contractors
- A hands-on approach with a results- and client-oriented attitude
- Self-driven professional with solid experience in product and solution sales
- Fluent in English, both verbally and written (Spanish language skills are considered a plus)
