Sales Manager - DEIF

Established in Denmark in 1933, DEIF is a global leader in manufacturing and supplying power generation controls for the temporary, critical, and microgrid/hybrid power industries. DEIF’s customers are primarily in the Land, Marine & Offshore markets. DEIF is headquartered in Denmark with an additional 11 subsidiaries worldwide.
As DEIF continues to grow in North America, we are looking for a Sales Manager to drive the growth in the land power market in Texas. The Sales Manager will be tasked with generating new business opportunities for land applications providing outstanding guidance throughout the sales process, ultimately resulting in strong, long-term customer relationships.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience with business-to-business sales, preferably from the distributed power market, renewables or microgrid industries and must be able to build, develop and maintain solid customer relationships and relevant professional networks. The Sales Manager should be self-driven, persistent and pragmatic and have an entrepreneurial spirit.
Key Responsibilities
Your main responsibility will be to increase the market share of DEIF’s land power application products within your territory. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Create new business opportunities by prospecting and developing new opportunities in the land power market
- Grow the customer portfolio in the territory by assessing customer needs
- Ensure sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) are met
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, explaining DEIF’s products and services to customers in different settings
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and other events
- Share sales and product insights and feedback with the product management team to facilitate new features and updates
- Carry out administrative tasks related to sales activities
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or business and equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in technical sales with solid knowledge of the distributed power market - experience working with system integrators is an advantage
- Proven track record of selling complex systems solutions
- Ability to create new business opportunities while growing existing accounts
- Knowledge of gensets is an advantage
- Have a network within relevant industry areas, such as microgrid, battery storage and renewables
- A good communicator on all levels of the organization
Start date: As soon as possible
Salary: Competitive compensation and benefits package
Travel: Up to 50% of travel, primarily in the designated territory
Location: Houston/Dallas, TX
