As an Application Engineer, you will provide engineering support to customers and internal stakeholders including sales related to DEIF’s land and marine applications. The role demands strong experience with PLC programming in power generation/power distribution industries and to the ability to travel as needed. You are self-driven with good problem-solving skills and able to adapt to a dynamic and changing work environment.

Key Responsibilities
Perform on-site and remote support for installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting to ensure customer satisfaction. Your tasks include but are not limited to:

• Perform on-site activities at customer sites such as start-up, commissioning, and troubleshooting
• Develop technical solutions for land and marine power applications and generate necessary documentation
• Carry out tests of DEIF products and applications
• Conduct internal and external technical training in DEIF control systems
• Provide technical support to the internal sales team
• Prepare technical presentations and present to audiences at conferences and trade shows
• Tak and active part in PLC programming projects
• Actively ensure that you are up to date on the latest trends and developments within relevant industries and DEIF products

To be successful in this role, you must be a self-starter, hands-on, and result-driven with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering degree with a power generation focus
• 5+ years of experience in power generation/power distribution industries
• 5+ years of solid PLC programming experience, Codesys experience is a plus
• HMI programming experience is a plus
• Experience in renewable energy is an advantage, e.g., hybrid power or microgrids
• Strong communicator with the ability to perform tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Self-driven with an all-hands-on-deck mentality
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
