Working in the Central Duty Function at DP World Shipping Solutions
As a Marine Operator, reporting to the Central Duty Function Manager, you will support marine and operational activities across the company’s network. From ensuring vessels stay on schedule to coordinating with terminals and updating internal systems, the role plays an important part in keeping daily operations running smoothly.

You will be part of the Central Duty Function (CDF) department, which operates 24/7. This means working day, afternoon and night shifts. The schedule is planned at least three months in advance to ensure predictability.

The team works from modern office facilities in Gdynia, Poland. Candidates must already be based in Poland. You will join a diverse and international team where different backgrounds and perspectives are valued.

Some travel is expected (approximately 5–10 days per year).

Key Responsibilities
During watch duty, you will work within one of two areas: Marine or Operations.

Marine responsibilities include:

• Ensuring accurate and timely information from terminals

• Monitoring and communicating with vessels to support on-time operations

• Ordering pilots, tugs, linesmen, lay-by berths and locks as required

• Coordinating berth planning with terminals

• Handling ISPS requests for ship visitors

• Managing Slotcharter vessel schedules in internal IT systems

• Maintaining close communication with external agents

Operations responsibilities include:

• Communicating discharge and load information to terminals

• Ensuring terminals have the information needed for efficient operations

• Updating stowage plans and supporting adjustments as required

• Processing terminal updates to ensure accurate cargo planning

• Handling cargo-related queries from terminals and other stakeholders

Who You Are
You may come from a maritime, shipping or terminal background with a focus on container logistics, but candidates with diverse experience and skill sets are encouraged to apply. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two shifts are the same. You work in a structured way, stay calm under pressure and enjoy solving operational challenges. You approach tasks logically and methodically and take pride in finding practical solutions.
