Working in Central Duty Function at Unifeeder
As a Marine Operator, reporting to the Central Duty Function Manager, you will handle marine tasks across Unifeeder’s operational areas. From ensuring vessels are on time to coordinating with terminals and updating internal systems, your role is crucial for maintaining efficient operations.
You will be part of the Central Duty Function (CDF) department, operating 24/7, which means your work will include day, afternoon and night shifts. You will know your schedule at least three months in advance but expect some flexibility for changes due to illness, vacation, etc. A duty cycle lasts seven weeks, covering both marine and operations duties.
The preferred location for this position is the Unifeeder office in Gdynia, Poland. Some travel is expected (est. 5-10 days annually). Candidates must already be based in Poland.

Key Responsibilities
During your watch duty, you will work in one of two fields: Marine or Operations.
Marine:
- Ensure accurate information from all terminals.
- Monitor and liaise with vessels to ensure timely operations.
- Order pilots, tugs, linesmen, layby berths and locks as needed.
- Coordinate with terminals for berth planning.
- Handle ISPS requests for ship visitors.
- Manage Slotcharter vessel schedules in IT systems.
- Maintain communication with external agents.
Operations:
- Communicate discharge and load information to terminals.
- Ensure terminals operate effectively with necessary information.
- Update stowages and assist as necessary.
- Process terminal updates for accurate cargo planning.
- Handle cargo-related queries from stakeholders and terminals.
Who You Are
You may have maritime, shipping or terminal experience, but this is not required as Unifeeder welcomes diverse backgrounds and competencies.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two shifts are the same, requiring a structured approach and the ability to remain calm in new situations.
You possess a logical and methodical mindset and take pride in finding solutions.
Additionally, you bring:

- An independent work ethic and pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to collaborate with various departments and stakeholders.
- Fluency in English (both verbal and written).
